Designed by the same guys who brought to you the Tsunami Slow Pitch Rods, these rods are great if you want to fish for pelagics Slow Pitch style, or have a lot of fun targeting inshore species like fluke, striped bass, blackfish and more! Maxel Platinum Slow Pitch Jigging Spinning Rods are constructed of a lightweight yet powerful carbon fiber blank with an external carbon tape cross wrap for added strength. The tips are extremely sensitive and they have a ton of power in the back end. Maxel has outfitted them with Fuji Alconite K Frame guides that are designed for fishing braided lines and will deliver long casts and minimize wind knots. Each rod has a Fuji graphite reel seat and comfortable EVA fore and rear grips. One of the cool things about these rods is that they can handle more lure weight than a rod of similar size. Most lightweight spinning rods don't let you use more than a few ounces but the high end on these rods is 4-7 ozs, depending on the model. They are perfect for jigging, bottom fishing and of course fishing Slow Pitch style. Pair it with your favorite spinning reel and hit the water!
